flowers to jail road

I got a call around 7 PM few days back from a person (let us call him Rajat) from Muzaffarnagar. Rajat inquired about sending a tall arrangement of 200 red roses at Jail road in Delhi to a girl at 12 AM. There were some discussions going between two families for marrying them but nothing was final as yet.And it was girl's birthday today. My first question was how he is going to pay me. He was reluctant to pay online so he told me that he will deposit money in my bank account next day. To support his credentials, Rajat gave me name and number of the owner of a very well know sweet shop in Delhi. Perhaps Rajat too had a sweet shop in Muzaffarnagar and knew this gentleman well. I agreed to send flowers but another issue was "will the girl's family accept flowers as there were just the talks going on and nothing was final. So I told Rajat that I am going to call the girl before sending the bouquet. I called and phone was picked by girl's mother. I told her everything and they apologized (very politely)and told me not to deliver. Rajat was heartbroken. The story ended but did it? Next day I got a call from Rajat and he told me that I should make arrangements for sending the flowers and assured me there will be no problem this time. He had already sent his man to deposit money in my account. So finally the flowers were delivered. Here is the picture:
