March the slowest month for florists

March is the slowest month for florists in Delhi. The orders are low, sales are low. As a result, the flowers prices in wholesale market also crash. The prices are all time low. Combined with this, we have Holy festival in march. So this is an excellent opportunity for people (retailers, wholesalers and others working in this industry) to go for holidays. People who have their families outside Delhi go back. This is good time to spend with families.

When do you need to book flowers for Valentines Day

Yesterday, around evening I was sitting in my office when I got a call from this lady.She was very excited (and anxious) to know the price for sending two dozen red roses and a chocolate box at Delhi. So as the procedure is,I asked her when does she want to send this. Now her answers surprised me.She said she wanted to send these flowers on 14th February 2012. I was equally amused. Isn't this too early to order flowers for Valentines day? It also a fact that no florist has an idea what the prices will be in wholesale market (Bangalore and Pune flower markets) during this period. Our retail prices depend on our purchase. So I told her very politely that I may not be able to help her in this matter as of now (and no florist could either). I told her to call me back in first week February. Luckily she understood and promised to call me as instructed.
